[MVL, Participate Korean Government’s Smart City Project]
We proudly announce that easi6, which has developed incentive-based mobility blockchain system ‘MVL’, is going to participate in the Korean government’s Smart City R&D project. easi6 confirmed its participation last August, however it took long time to be announced because all participants in the project needed to reach a consensus on details.
easi6(MVL) will participate in the ‘2018 Smart City Project’ by Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The R&D project is to create new growth engines and improve the quality of people's lives in the national territory and transportation. It has seven tasks and easi6(MVL) is assigned to the first task called 'Developing a Technology Strategy for Smart Mobility and Sharing Parking Spaces'.
The project will be carried out from September 2018 to December 2022, and it will take place in Daegu Metropolitan City.
The project will allow public transportation users to set the route from the starting point to end point of the ride in Daegu and it will improve transportation convenience by customizing operation time, information sharing, and transportation linkages.
In this project, easi6 will work with the research team to develop a technology for collecting personal information, sharing real-time transportation information, and providing customized transportation services.
The main achievements of the project will be applied not only to smart mobility projects of local governments but also to building and operating an open data hub.
It will also act as a demonstration of smart city with database by linking various modes of transportation. With this experience and know-how, MVL team will be able to establish the incentive-based mobility blockchain system, MVL.
